Abstract

The article encompasses the theoretical and methodological description of the concept of social and professional (class) demarcation taking the international experience into account, as well as empirical analysis of cross-temporal perspective. The author makes comparative analysis of social and professional voting in Russia and other countries. The study is based on public opinion polls referred to the State Duma elections conducted by VCIOM in 1993–2007.
