Social justice as a platform for implementation of life aspirations of Russians

Abstract

The article provides analysis of the role of social justice in implementation of life aspirations of Russians. Using the social justice concept developed by J. Rawls and the concept of the sociology of lifestyle, the authors state that the level of perception of social justice in the society depends on a number of factors which play the role of catalyst trigging mechanism of social consent as a guarantee of social well-being. Russians put attention to such factors as demand for decent life, interesting and prestigious job, career and professional achievements, getting high quality education, freedom to work and make money without restrictions, using business for social mobility. The results of the social research suggest that the implementation of Russian life aspirations depends on the level of satisfaction with the social justice.
