Data quality is the key problem in the public opinion research. The vast growth of computer assisted methods of data collection made it possible to solve this problem using paradata— data about the process of survey production. For some years paradata is successfully used for fabrication and falsification detecting and predicting time and cost efficiency. At the same time, many survey researchers all over the world use paradata to improve data collection process and request interviewers to collect observations about main features of selected household or respondent. This paper examines the types of observations interviewers made for the telephone interview on sensitive topic. Observations collected by interviewers revealed to be valuable and rich information source for the survey researcher. Potentially these observations can be used for data correction and further development of the tool.Downloads
