Abstract

The subject of examination of the article is transformation of public views in the sphere of political ideology during the radical economic and political reforms of the last 20 years. The author indicates intertwining combination in the mass consciousness of traditional values, often of the left orientation, with more individualistic, self-supporting attitudes on rationalistic, instrumental level. The article analyses public assessments of such concepts as freedom, justice, law and order, public notions of the desired economic and political system of the country.
