Abstract

The crisis greatly undermined people`s ability to invest and accumulate money. However, the recent study of public financial behavior showed that there has been a rise in financial awareness and financial behavior among people. These trends will work again when the crisis subsides. There are one million of private investors and about four million of those willing to invest in Russia. The basic obstacles for investors excluding crisis are the lack of trust in financial system and state in general, as well as financial exposure.
