Abstract

The article dwells on the process of reading in the Internet as a special way of reading and on particular practices linked to this way of reading such as writing reviews and playing with literary texts. The author focuses on the Internet reading in the tideway of previous studies and regards this type of reading as an active hobby with competitions between readers. For a relatively long time, there has been the only way of interpreting literature, the one preferred by authorities.Today, the Internet undermines this practice and everyone has the right to express their own opinion. Certainly, there were previously cases of naïve readers’ opinions expressed publicly, but they were not frequent. Then, they were mostly provoked from outside by researchers or teachers and sometimes even managed by them. Now, we deal with cases when people express their opinion when nobody makes them to do it and when there is no institution regulating these opinions.
