Abstract

The paper presents the results of an online survey of 1966 parents of schoolchildren from several regions of the Russian Federation, conducted in November—December 2022. The survey aimed at developing a questionnaire of educational and organizational independence and at assessing its quality. The developed questionnaire includes 20 questions and is characterized by high internal consistency and construct validity. The results of the assessment showed that the questionnaire could be used to assess the level of educational and organizational independence of students up to grade 6. The most homogeneous level of development of educational and organizational independence is observed for groups of grades 1–2 and 3–6. Girls in these groups have a higher level of educational and organizational independence compared to boys. The questionnaire could be used by teachers and parents to create a profile of a class or school, and to monitor individual development in the field of educational and organizational independence among children in grades 1–2 and 3–6.
