Abstract

The article represents the authors’ reflections on the monograph “Ethnos, Nation, Values. Social and Philosophical studies’ which was prepared by the members of the Social Philosophy Department of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. The article provides analysis of the phenomena of ethnos, nation and nationalism and other notions related to them; a new conceptualization of these notions is proposed. Their practical use in basic and applied sciences to analyse national and ethnical consolidation is considered.
