The study was part of an integrated monitoring research aimed at examining the problems of the practical use and disseminating the results of the scientific work of the university professors and students into the educational community; the aim of the study was to examine the current state of the student research activity and to describe basic characteristics of this activity using student attitudes, assessments, current conditions and factors that shape this kind of activity. This helps taking certain steps towards increasing the potential of the scientific work in the higher professional education institutions. Based on the data obtained during the monitoring the author singles out and provides analysis of the questions reflecting the nature of the student scientific work.Downloads
