Abstract

This text is a response to Dmitry Rogozin’s article titled “On the Accuracy of the Telephone Survey about Crimea: A Posteriori Error Analysis” published in the current issue of the Monitoring of Public Opinion: Economic and Social Changes (No 2, 2014). The author`s goal is to validate the Rogozin’s conclusions with some scenes from the history of polling in Russia and the United States. Rogozin’s conclusions seem to be justified by the author. The author choose notes as a genre to combine topics of the Rogozin`s problem field and a wider discussion.
